Rainbow harvest of God’s Grace

Recently, a famous mega church pastor in Singapore, whose bible college has hundreds of graduates each year stated that 2/3 of the world are Christians. The deception of Satan has won out because we generalized Christianity as belonging to a nation, a people group, to an affiliation of a certain church, or a certain believe that Jesus exists rather than attributing its resurrection faith to their lives. It nullifies the great commission if the highway is so broad. Satan had tried to destroy Christianity and when he had failed, everyone became a Christian by de-facto when it became a state religion through Constantine in AD 321. Therefore, the evangelical and Pentecostal Christianity has been caught by deception to be anti-gay, and to be ignorant of the vastness of the harvest field.

In Singapore, only 8% are Evangelical Protestants who believed that Jesus is the only way, the life and the truth to God, and salvation is through faith alone in Christ death and resurrection to die for our sins. This is up from 2% in 1970. A former Methodist Bishop friend of mine stated that surely you will never reach the entire nation and you can never get 100% Christians, as a reason why we should not preach the Gospel Good News, but the onus of belief is not on the messenger but on the recipient. The Great Commission mandate started with only the 12 disciples, and less than 100 in the upper room. The mandate is ever greater for a world that even the evangelical church deceived of the urgency and the vastness of the harvest, and overtly obsessed with being anti-gay.

In Australia, the evangelical Pentecostals are less than 5% of the entire population. The evangelical Pentecostals are the tongue speaking Holy Spirit revival Christians from the upper room of AD33 when Jesus rose again and the Holy came down on them. Only 5% of a supposedly Christian country. And they are effectively defeated by Satan who made them obsessed with gays, thus guilty of the same sins of Governor Pontious Pilate and High Priest Joseph Caiaphas – hands full of blood for the 500 years of anti gay crusade initiated by the Anglican/Catholic defender of faith King Henry VIII. He was given the title the defender of faith because he was leading the attack against Martin Luther’s Protestant reformation.

We need a revival like never before, to see the heart of God for the nations, to see the aching of God’s heart for the lost, and their refusal to comer back to Jesus Christ like a small child. The harvest is so wide, and so large, and many like the Singaporean mega church pastor even deny the size of the harvest, or overtly focus on the pink dot somewhere in the midst of the harvest. Satan has bewitched our theology which has been always focused about ourselves, our self righteousness, our holiness, our wealth, power, house, and church size. We live in a deceptive world, where that the harvest is so huge and vast yet we see it not but say instead that they are all Christians already, and that the problem are gays.

The Pentecostal evangelical church has lost the ability to see the truth, and to see what matters – the Gospel good news heart of God, and to see the lies Satan that has bewitched the church in order to make us inward focus and hence deny it the resurrection power. Without a seeing eye, without a vision that can see, the evangelical charismatic church will perish, just as happened to the liberal church. May Jesus Christ open our eyes to the great white harvest, and the rainbow of God’s grace at the horizon, where the rain of the Holy Spirit revival, meets with the shining rays of Jesus Christ’s love, grace and mercy of the risen Christ, high above seated at the right hand of God. Without the Cross and the blood and the power of the Holy Spirit, nothing is possible.

Make a Difference (City Harvest)

Won’t You Lord
Take a look at our hands
Everything we have
Use it for Your plan
Won’t You Lord
Take a look at our hearts
Mould it, refine it
As You set us apart

We want to run to the altar
And catch the fire
To stand in the gap
Between the living and the dead
Give us a heart of compassion
For a world without vision
We will make a difference
Bringing hope to our land

We will answer the call
To build this church without walls
Let Your glory be shown
Bring salvation to the lost
To the lost
