Matt 11:12 and from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven sufferth violence, and the violent take it by force.
Matt 11:13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John
The Prophets saw Jesus, the Messiah of God from afar. The law established the benchmark to enter the Kingdom of heaven. But they were afar off, for the pathway or bridge was not there. One cannot knock at heaven’s doors because there is no gateway from our earthly abode.
John the Baptist was the only prophet who had the oppotunity to see Jesus, the gateway to the Kingdom of heaven. There was a violent rushing in of the masses of essentially uneducated peasants who saw Jesus and rushed in to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
It’s just like the great IT shows in Singapore. The prophets would write before the sale and new items offered before the show. At the show, there would be a violent rush of masses coming in. Alas, we need only to wait for 3 months for the show, but the prophets had been waiting since the garden of Eden, at least 5,000 years prior.
In the US, the liberals talked about coming against the Christian Right of populist white evangelicals. But really, the liberals are the elite rich educated whites who has controlled the mainstream church since the founding of the US. The white evangelicals are but lowly poor uneducated whites complemented by even more conservative blacks of the Southern Baptist. Similarly, it was the poor peasants who rushed into the Kingdom of Heaven for their lot on earth was miserable, hungry, thirsty and sickly.
I believe that God is looking for simple and humble people who simply believe by faith in the Word of God, who would pray against the principalities, who see the struggles in heaven and earth between the powerful supernatural deities, and know their standing and authority in Jesus Christ. God is looking for hungry people who would not stand idly by whilst the devil has a stronghold against gay churches and gay community for the last 50 years. The devil has a foothold because of the condemnation by the churches in Singapore.
