A new President

1 Kings 16:31 He not only considered it trivial to commit the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, but he also married Jezebel daughter of Ethbaal king of the Sidonians, and began to serve Baal and worship him. 32 He set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal that he built in Samaria. 33 Ahab also made an Asherah pole and did more to arouse the anger of the Lord, the God of Israel, than did all the kings of Israel before him.

When I heard Trump has won the election, I thought it must be God, for it is a miracle. Why would anyone vote for Trump? But then again… How could they have voted against Clinton who should have been the first women President, where were all the liberal Christians? unless there are few left in the pews!

The outpouring of grief from my liberal christian friends after the election of Trump was as if their hopes and desires for a new World Order has been all but destroyed as America goes into her own closet. Didn’t they see that Obama had 8 years and the momentum was for a change to a Republican, any republican. For Clinton to have lost to the most unqualified, pussy grabbing old man, and bankrupt businessman perhaps reflect that she was not very well liked and her candidacy did to work out a fervor as it was going to be much of the same anyway as Obama. But surely it must have been God!

2 Kings 24:15 Nebuchadnezzar took Jehoiachin captive to Babylon. He also took from Jerusalem to Babylon the king’s mother, his wives, his officials and the prominent people of the land.

Isn’t Trump, like a modern day Nebuchadnezzar, the big bully and very flawed personality who was used by God to bring Israel into captivity?

My evangelical Christian friends were in ecstatic joy but this was not their effort but the other sides default. The liberals didn’t turn out to vote in great numbers in some states for they thought they would win. Clinton was no moral choice sending unborn babies to their death, neither was Trump who will deport many innocent people and whose policies will deprive the poor but favor the rich. He was only making himself great.

In the end, the liberals were out of touch with the white working class in America’s heartlands, whom they sweepingly categorized as sexist, misogynist, and racists versus the more enlightened and thinking graduate elites. But in hypocrisy, they were in bed with banks and large businesses as Wikileaks would tell us whilst in the face of it championing for the poor. Actually, there is not much difference between Trump and Clinton.

Clinton’s Christian credential was in doubt. Attending a liberal Methodist church but allegedly an occultist. Her smile hides a very hard soul without any inkling of mercy nor grace to unborn children. Some christian friends vouched for her, yet she was an elite more comfortable with the rich and political establishment, and a good friend of bankers, and George Soros. Many likened her to Jezebel and pagan worship of the new Soros world order. Perhaps, they were not too far off. Clinton was very careful, intelligent and presidential outwardly. but all her secrets were revealed in the wikileaks and numerous anti-clinton biographies. White becomes dark long before the email scandal.

So Trump becoming a President, like the ancient King Nebuchadnezzar is indeed a miracle. He only cared about himself, paid no taxes, sidelined many minorities, probably had foreign aid in the elections. But this is Trump, and America voted for him despite his many obvious failings. He is not even a Christian, doesn’t believe in redemption for his sin yet evangelicals supported him in droves vary of Clinton who is a far left hawk threatening Christian free speech and religious rights eg imposing transgender rights in Christian schools etc.  Trump must have made a deal to have an anti-abortion justice to the supreme court with the replacement of Justice Scalia well overdue.

It is God who put Trump on the throne just as God put King Nebuchadnezzar there. A deeply flawed personality yet could be perhaps used by God. But God is in control and just like he had exalted King Nebuchadnezzar, He could also humble Him.
