Zech 12:3 “It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it will be severely injured. And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it.

Hear the trumpet sounding from Jerusalem for the day of the Lord is here, for it is nigh at hand. It is the end of the 2nd day after the birth of Jesus, and after a full generation of 120 years when the bud was first seen in the fig tree in 1896. The flower has bloomed a full generation later. Jerusalem is again the capital of Israel. The last 50 years from 1967 when Israel first returned to Jerusalem until 2017 was a period of grace, one of the greatest revivals in modern Christianity of the charismatic evangelicals.

Joel 2.1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my Holy temple: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand.

“We hereby proclaim the establishment of the Jewish state in Palestine to be called Israel”, Ben Gurion, May 14, 1948, Tel Aviv. An Arab and Jewish state were proposed under UN Resolution 181 of the Partition Plan of mandatory Palestine. Instead of declaring a new Arab state, the nations surrounding Israel went to war to push Israel into the sea which has been on-going for the last 70 years to take all the land. Essentially, the right for an Arab state in a two state solution has been lost in their intense hatred for Israel. Did the God of Israel hardened the hearts of the Arab leaders? so that the land will not be divided again.

15th May is the first day that the nation of Israel existed as a nation in 1948 as a result of the Arab partitioning, giving Israel a few coastal cities. That very day, the surrounding Arab nations gathered to push Israel into the sea instead of forming their own state in the area given in the Arab partition. After 70 years of war, all these lands are lost, and there is no right of return. The greatest catastrophe was that the proposed Arab nation wasn’t declared whereas Israel chose to declare their nationhood even though totally unviable based on a few towns and the Negev desert they were given.

As the protestors gather to throw stones through slings, burn tires, throwing fire bombs, flying fiery kites, placing explosives in the border fence with Israel in their thousands, the media, the UN and even the church hierarchical have gone overtime to condemn Israel even as to go so far as to declare that those who stay silent are complicit. They do not of course criticise the terrorist groups who had planned the attack on the border fence in the guise of a demonstration, and who had put lives, even young children at risk. Under the social justice and human rights banner, many hide their intense, almost demonic hatred of Israel, because Israel is God’s chosen nation who bore Jesus Christ the Messiah.

 

Luke 21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

These are the very same people who had denied the Holocaust in Germany where millions of Jews are slaughtered and now they raised their moral anger for the few dozens killed at the violent protest even though most belong to terrorist groups. Indeed tens of millions have died since the Romans destroyed the Temple in AD 70 until the nation of Israel in May 15, 1948, or 1950 years from the birth of Jesus Christ. When we come against Israel, we too becomes complicit in their persecution, deaths and captivity.

The hypocrisy of many in the mainline churches is worst because these people claim to be holy and righteous, but their justice is given not to the oppressed but supporting the privileged, the very large nations coming against Israel who is only a small tiny dot. But the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, though small, will be a heavy rock come tumbling down on those who comes against her.

Eze 30:3 “For the day is near, Even the day of the LORD is near; It will be a day of clouds, A time of doom for the nations.

The time of Gentiles over Jerusalem is over. They had two thousand years to kill, destroy and annihilate the people of God. They have failed, and now Israel is a nation and after 70 years which is on 14 May, will mark the day of the Lord, the start of the day of judgement against the nations who had gathered against Israel for these last 70 years. Just as President Truman quickly recognised Israel after mid night of May 14, 1948 despite strong cabinet opposition, on the momentus day 70 years later, the shifting of the embassy to Jerusalem marks the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

The shifting of the embassy to Jerusalem wasn’t new, we had 3 previous US presidents who said they would during their election campaigns, Clinton, Bush and Obama, but they lied. The trumpet was finally blown with Trump, a reminder of Jehu who slained Jezebel. Jehu was a warrior who drives the chariot like a mad man and who took down the worship of Baal by the Jezebel. God can use a madman, and many liberal christians have called the shift madness.

What man has tried to separate, and made into an international zone neither Arab nor Jew, God has vetoed and instead proclaimed Jerusalem whole and undivided. The world and the UN have tried to kick against a big stumbling rock,   tried to disassociate Jerusalem with Israel, but this rock will come back to hit them. The protestors tried to break into the border to stop this day, but their day is over, the day of Gentile rule of Jerusalem for two thousand years.

Who are the privileged but the Arab nations, who on the first day of Israel as a nation of a few towns in Palestine, launched a massive attack, big nations of tens of millions, against a few Jewish towns. They failed, and failed and failed again over the next 4 major wars loosing their land in the partition. The Arab nations could have just declared the foundation of a new nation in 1948 as a result of the Arab partitioning, but instead they now lost it all, truly a disaster.

After 70 days or 70 years, the time of grace is over, and just as Israel’s very existence was continually threatened with destruction by the nations, the heavy stone of judgement is coming upon the nations of the north. And it is God’s judgement of how the world has treated His people, the Jewish nation. There are many even in the church who came against Israel, saying that those who supports Israel should be ashamed or are complicit. But the Spirit of the Lord will be taken from these churches, and the wind and trumpet of the Lord will blow to announce the soon and very soon, the return of Jesus Christ. God is separating the wheat from the tares.

The trumpets blow will bring great disasters after disasters that the nations of the world will come into grave despair. The mighty nations who encamp around Israel will be brought down. They who demand that Israel be separated as two nations, will themselves be separated into many parts. For from heaven, the stone of judgement is falling down with the trumpet sound of the Ram.

Hear, O Watchman of the City, for the trumpet blows, the Lord of Host is coming, with His mighty army, and none shall prevail against Him. And judgement will become not only against the nations encamped around Israel, but the many nations who had voted in the UN against Israel. For God is against her enemies, the spiritual principalities on Earth who had come against Israel because Israel reflected Yahweh.

After 70 days, we have reached the time for the fulfilment of prophecy. Just as there are 70 days from the birth of Jesus, to the fall of Jerusalem by Rome, we have 70 days from the creation of Israel gaining a few towns, to the reality of ancient Israel regaining all the lands lost and hosting Jerusalem as her capital, and the opening of judgement against Rome. Rome and all her ancient gods will fall.

The protestors have called the foundation of Israel, a day of disaster, and the world is now supporting them, even the UN. They do not know, a thousand times greater disaster is coming. For just as the Romans laid siege around Jerusalem and at Masada, the Lord will laid siege against the nations who for 2,000 years have put His people into captivity, and will bring judgement where there is no day nor night.

After 2,000 years, and after 70 years from the very day the nation of Israel was formed on 15 May 1948, the Hope is finally fulfilled, more than 120 years, or a lifetime from the First Zionist Congress of 1896 (2 days or 2000 years from the birth of Jesus) when they dared dream of the return to Israel, as their Hope for peace and return to God. Surely, the Lord God of Israel, has kept His promise to bring back His people to rest in their own land.

Today starts the judgement and justice for their sufferings of 2,000 years. The churches in the West calls for a boycott (aka BDS – Boycott Divestment Sanctions) against Israel, but the Holy Spirit will be taken from them, and they become a shell of their former glory. That is why for 50 years since 1967 when Jerusalem was first returned, the predominant mainline churches have been declining, and they do not know why! For God is separating the wheat and the tares.

The children of Israel has been calling out to God for salvation for 2,000 years. There was really no hope. They were oppressed and colonised by the Romans (Europeans), the Ottomans (Turkey), and Babylon (Iraq), Persia (Iran). The Romans came and crushed Jerusalem and Masada, and the survivors taken to foreign lands so that they can never come back to Israel. It was as if the nations of the world were filled with demonic zeal to wipe Israel from the face of the earth. All because they are God’s chosen people, who bore Jesus the Messiah. But God is not slow to answer their cry. He has been waiting to come against the demonic principalities.

There was no hope really. Even after the formation of Israel, and the miraculous victories over her enemies in wars to redeem much of the land lost, successive US administration insisted that Israel be partitioned into two states with Jerusalem, the symbol of their hope for 2,000 years be sacrificed. And Israel did give in to the supposedly offers of peace giving generous concessions to the Palestinians. Somehow God had hardened the hearts of their leaders so that they never accepted the peace offers. Just as they missed the opportunity to form a nation in May 15, 1948, the Palestinians missed repeated opportunities for a 2 nation solution. Because the God of Israel never let it happened for the days of the Gentiles are over.

May 15, 2018, ushers into rest for Israel. The nations surrounding may be raising their battle drums and attempting to over run Israel’s borders, but the time of the Gentiles is over, and the shofar is being blown from Jerusalem from the recognition of Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel by the US, for the Army of the God of Israel is coming down like a mighty wind to bring justice for the 2,000 years of harm suffered by the Jews, and when the trumpet sounds are over, Jesus, the Messiah will return. The protestors may throw stones and fire bombs at Israel, but the mighty flaming stones of judgement from heaven are falling down soon against the nations gathered against Israel.

Just as Amos prophesied, Justice is flowing down like a mighty river, justice for the Jews for their sufferings of 2,000 years.  The EU and UN have tried to change the narrative framing Israel instead as the oppressor and occupier. But the waters of justice will roll right passed and over them. For the weight of history, and justice will not be denied. Hear the sounding ramparts at Masada of Roman soldiers breaking the siege! The Jews cried out to the God of Israel. Two and seventy days later, the Lord of Hosts will come down from heaven and become an immovable rock that will crush the Romans, and all who came after her, the Ottoman and the Persians.

Flee to the mountains, for the trumpet sounds and there is great violence in the heavens. The war drums have been sounded. Just the Romans siege of Masada was relentless, so too is the Lion of Judah, the champion of Israel, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. As Israel enters into rest after 2000 years and 120 years, the day of judgement cometh at the 70th year.
