why the church will face tribulation and judgement

In the recent New Creation sermons, they talked about the end times, and that there will be a rapture for born again Christians with a whole lot of unbelievers will be left behind who did not profess that Jesus as Lord and Savior facing tribulation from the anti-Christ. However, you will not find this 7 years of tribulation of the unbelievers in the bible. It just doesn’t exist. The reason for that mega church pastors see such a vision is because they could not see beyond their local church, and no one would question why a loving God would allow his beloved righteous church to undergo tribulation. The bible is not only based on covenants, and prophetic, but on sign posts, and a convergence of time and justice. The church is not righteous unless it stops wearing white but admit her sins and put on the blood of the lamb.

More than 15 to 20 years ago, the likes of Derek Hong of the Church of Our Saviour, an Anglican Church in Singapore was claiming that Satan is using gays and gay marriage to destroy the church. Hence, the need to oppose gays through choices and other ex-gay churches masquerading as love. He was not wrong! But in order to see the arc of justice, one would need to go back to the foundation of the Church of England in 1534 by King Henry VIII (1509 – 1547). It was Henry who introduced the anti-gay laws in the Act of Buggery in 1533 whom we the colonials have Acts 377A.

Without the church of England, there would be no Methodism under John Wesley (1703-1791). John was the leader of a revival movement within the Church of England. The protestant and mega churches in Singapore all have their roots in the Church of England in UK. Even the Pentecostals such as AOG has roots out of the Azusa Street revival started on Apr 09, 1906 under William J. Seymour (1870-1922) who was a follower of Charles Parham (1873 – 1929). Parham was a Methodist. So when Henry VIII came out of the Catholic Church in 1534, he indirectly ushered in the continuation, survival and revival of the Protestant Evangelical faith of Martin Luther ( Ninety Five Theses 1517). The English channel saved the movement from destruction which had befallen on the French Huguenots and Swiss Waldenses.

We have five hundred years of evangelical and Charismatic evangelical revival, started by a murderous straight king who killed most of his wives to annul the marriages, and who put all his sins and blame gays for it in the Act of Buggery. It was setting such a bad precedence that the catholic pope clement VII threatened to excommunicate Henry. So for 500 years, we have the persecution of gays in the name of morality when it was actually covering up murderous adultery and abuse of marriage of a straight king. The bible verses were just rigged to be translated and interpreted out of context to blame gays.

Gay marriage is an extremely bad sign post for the church. The charismatic evangelicals and the evangelicals opposed it violently under the guise of the bible, and morality. But it goes back to the foundation of the evangelical and protestant churches in 1534. When the US Supreme Court allowed gay marriage on June 26, 2015, and same sex marriage legalized in England in Mar 2014, it was the beginning of the end. It was not that Satan was using gays to destroy the church as pastor Derek Hong of the Singapore Anglican church had alluded a decade earlier, but it was the arc of justice returning and requesting for judgement against the church 500 years later.

The evangelical and charismatic churches in Singapore were happily celebrating the 500 years of reformation in 2017, yet they did not recognize that their churches were not founded on reformation but on the Church of England whose 500 years anniversary is coming in 2034. How is judgement and tribulation coming to the church:-

  1. Judgement and tribulation is inevitable because of the weight of history. There has been 5 x 100 years of grace. God is now hardening the hearts of the leaders against gay marriage so that judgement will come. In the US, you can see TBN and Daystar, and Charisma all fervently opposing gays and gay marriage. There is a reason why when we are debating with the charismatic evangelicals they do not see the truth, so that judgement will come on them and the church cannot escape.
  2. Judgement comes in the lack of power and outpouring of the Holy Spirit. When the children of Israel returned to Jerusalem after the exile, they had 400 years of darkness where there was no revelation even though the temple sacrifices were re-instated.
  3. The attendance of the Anglican church has declined massively as seen in the Anglican Church in UK, and the Episcopal church in the US.
  4. Public judgement at the public forums – the BEMA in the bible. The church will be known for its hate, and hypocrisy, rather than reflecting the resurrection power, Gospel good news, love, and grace of Jesus Christ.
  5. Direct persecution of churches. Its happening in Africa, India and China.

Its a waste of time and effort talking to the remnants of the ex-gay movement spawned out by the churches, or latest effort in dialogue for gay marriages, because the arc of justice and judgement is coming upon the churches in a rapid and extremely fast manner. It’s not a gay marriage issue, it relates to the entire church pulling into a black hole into judgement and tribulation because their anti gay roots. Their sins of 500 years are coming back. They are under judgement not gays and does not have the humility nor wisdom to see the times. And righteousness would have it that many in the US mainline media now coming against the evangelicals are disproportionately gays.

How does the churches avoid tribulation and judgement? Just like King David, to ask for a clean heart when we have so much blood on our hands, because we have a much greater covenant which is Jesus Christ death and resurrection. The arc of justice is not a circle, but have a sharp gradient because the world and its happenings will change so fast. When Gay marriage even reaches the end of the world at the 500th year of reformation, eg down under in Australia in 09 Dec 2017, the end is coming for the churches. It was not gay marriage impacting straight marriage, but the abuse of a straight marriage which had banned gays for 500 years which the churches were founded on.

There has been much debate in Christianity about law and grace. The reality is that both are correct, because we don’t realize we are the chief sinners deserving fully of judgement and tribulation under the law, and needing the undeserved grace at the Cross of Calvary.

Create in me a clean heart, O God
And renew a right spirit within me
Create in me a clean heart, O God
And renew a right spirit within me
Cast me not away from Thy presence, O Lord
And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me
Restore unto me, the joy of Thy salvation
And renew a right spirit within meCreate in me a clean heart, O God
And renew a right spirit within me

Create in me a clean heart, O God
And renew a right spirit within me
Cast me not away from Thy presence, O Lord
Take not Thy Holy Spirit from me
Restore unto me, the joy of Thy salvation
And renew a right spirit within meCreate in me a clean heart, O God
And renew a right spirit within me

Create in me a clean heart, O God
And renew a right spirit within me
Cast me not away from Thy presence, O Lord
And take not Thy Holy Spirit from me
Restore unto me, the joy of Thy salvation
And renew a right spirit within me
