Jubilee Jerusalem – June 7, 1967 to June 6, 2017

Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

For the last 50 years, the trumpet of the shofar was blown on June 7, 1967, the power of the Holy Spirit went forth around the world from Jerusalem with a message that Jesus Christ is coming back. During the last 50 years, Jews have been returning to Israel, the boundaries of the state expanded to cover ancient Israel, and the Jewish nation re-built from the ashes of World War 2.

Fifty years earlier in 1917, General Allenby entered Jerusalem setting the scene for the return of the Jews to the promised land. The last 50 years of Jubilee has been a time of separating the tares from the wheat, a time of revival and purifying the body of Christ, a return to a Christ centered theology.

The gates of Hades will not prevail

The trial and the verdict of the CHC case is over, and the judgement passed and those sentenced in prison for a short while. But the grace of God is so amazing. The church is still perhaps 10 to 15K strong and have a large ownership of Suntec. CHC had started from a cell group in the late 80s. Some churches i know are still well below 100 after 1 to 2 decades but their focus is solely on the social justice gospel rather than standing on the solid Rock.

Faith comes by hearing

Rom 10.15…. how beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things.

Rom 10.17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Where do you go when you are weak and hammered down by the circumstances of life. One would go to churches that preach the Word of God, the Gospel of God’s grace and mercy apart from the law. Because faith in your spirit comes by hearing the Word of God.

In many Gay churches, the attendance is struggling even being the only church in the entire nation of millions because the Word of God is not preached but the word of man. Jesus Christ is bypassed, as God and Saviour. As a result, faith is not built up. Gay people are hungry for faith that sustains them and connects them with Yahweh, the God of Israel. The Fear of the Lord

Ps 34,7 the angel of the Lord encamps around them that fear Him, and delivers them.

2 Tim 3.1 to 5 … in the last days…for men shall be lovers of their own self…. blasphemous…having a form of godliness but denying its power, from such turn away.

2 Tim 3.7 ever learning, never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

The blog entry “Kong Hee from Lawlessness to Grace” was made popular by a few clergy of the liberation movement of the 60s to 80s who wanted to criticise the charismatic movement in Singapore and the key movers such as the Anglican Canon James Wong whom Kong was associated with.

I wrote by what i believed the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and not because I was mourning over the harm caused by the trial to the churches’ reputation, nor because I had given to CHC. I attended some churches with doubtful reputations. Yet who am i to judge.

Even the honorable gate keepers in Singapore didn’t enter the fray. I am no gate keeper guarding the city but only a gentle lamb gazing in the open fields. Continue reading

Entering the Kingdom of heaven by force

Matt 11:12 and from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven sufferth violence, and the violent take it by force.

Matt 11:13 For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John

The Prophets saw Jesus, the Messiah of God from afar. The law established the benchmark to enter the Kingdom of heaven. But they were afar off, for the pathway or bridge was not there. One cannot knock at heaven’s doors because there is no gateway from our earthly abode. Continue reading

Kong Hee from lawlessness to grace

Gal 3.10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “cursed is everyone who does not continue all things written in the book of the law, to perform them

The verdict after 7 years of agonizing court case, a week from Good Friday, ended with a half successful appeal for stealing 50 million with the maximum sentence reduced from 8 years to 3 years. In court, the accused never fully repented, never admitted their full guilt but it will be a jail term nevertheless. And Kong’s sad countenance tells it all as he left the court house. They were really expecting to be let off jail free. The irony is that the vast majority thought the short sentence was just unbelievable. It was grace, really, totally unmerited grace.

Pastor Kong was known in his ministry of preaching the Ten Commandments declaring that without the law we will be lawless and cheap grace. The churches that preached the Gospel of Grace was said to be doing cheap grace in the sermons on antinomianism – the seduction of lawlessness. But the bible tells us that those who preached the law are under a curse if they don’t abide fully. It is a curse because our sin is amplified. Pride comes in under works. And if not succesful, they had to make Sun a success by putting in funds as a church purpose despite strong and official denials.

The China Wine could not conceivably be for church purpose. It was really a cross over, belly dancing to pagan seductive tunes. It could be argued that it was for personal gain and status of fame and appearance of success, the premium class flights, the good living, the luxury apartments, they want the appearance of a rock superstar rising up the dance bill boards, the staged/free concerts and the buy back CD sales. They gave themselves big bonuses. At the same time announcing great success in church of making it by her own talent in Hollywood whilst charging to building fund/moving costs repackaged as bonds in a related party transaction to own company.

The very generous judgement was not unanimous and could be faulted on many grounds being far too lenient. Hence, it was really an Amazing Grace. At the end of his 3 years term would they find remorse and go from lawlessness to grace? They still havent really admitted any wrong other than causing pain! Continue reading

Cross Over to the Gentle Beast

The Anglican Church in Singapore and the National Council of Churches have issued warnings of secret gay scenes in the coming Hollywood Beauty and the Beast. Secret because the show is not released and the scene a fleeting moment to the main plot. They tried to scrub out gay from their world but God keeps putting the pink dot back at the communion table.

Pastor Kong Hee of City harvest Church was correct in one respect that the Church must crossover. His methods may be questionable, because there is a deep sense of self righteousness instead of seeing people as God sees them, people that need a touch of God’s grace, love and mercy through Jesus Christ.

We don’t need to go to Hollywood to crossover, when God brings people to our table for us to crossover by accepting them in our hearts by the love, grace and mercy of God through Jesus Christ knowing that at the Cross, the law based Judaist killed Jesus because of the law. When we use the very same faith laws against gays for harm, are we no better than the pharisees? Continue reading

Thy Kingdom come

In the last 70 years at the UN, an attempt has been undertaken to bring down walls amongst the nations in the spirit of ecumenism. Driven by the World Council Churches pantheism, the unwritten goal is to replace the Gospel of Salvation in Jesus Christ to a form of salvation on earth with the social gospel. The walls between nations must be first brought down for a religious new world order. The walls proposed by Trump and his intention of reducing support for the UN is undermining the New World Order.

The religious christian right is also being distracted to fight petty battles with gay rights when the countdown for the return of Jesus Christ is getting nearer and the harvest field so great in Europe, India, China and Indochina. Ironically, the New World Order resulted in a globalism whereby the world is closer making it easier for the Gospel message. Continue reading

Trump bans the stranger

Trump’s executive order banning visitors and immigrants from 7 countries has caused issues at the airports with protests even though at the end a handful were impacted. The irony is that multitudes of feminist and gays who protested in the streets of the US would be hauled up and would not be seen again if they did so in many countries of faith in the Middle East, the actions justified in the name of faith. Trump is shaking the UN new world order in the making for 70 years.

A time of Jubilee, a time of rest

Great is thy faithfulness, O God my Father
There is no shadow of turning with thee
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As thou has been Thou forever will be.

Great is thy faithfulness, Great is thy faithfulness,
Morning by morning new mercies I see
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided
Great is thy faithfulness, Lord unto me

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand besides

The year 2017 and beyond will be a period of resting and time spend in prayer and worship understanding that Jesus is my jubilee. I am surprised I have survived in my life and be true to the faith. It is really not my faith but His faithfulness and grace.

Essentially, this phase of life is over soon . Working life, relationships, even church life. We have lived decades so involved in relationships, work, ministry, and  church life. Our space is so crowded,  many concerns and deadlines. But at the end, what do we have? Not much, really.
